Witness appeal following suspicious behaviour in Dover

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a report of a man acting suspiciously in Dover.

At around 4.30pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026, a father and his child were approached by a man on Pencester Road. It is alleged the suspect approached the pushchair, made an inappropriate comment, and started to pull the pushchair towards him. When he was confronted, he left the area.

The incident was reported to Kent Police and enquiries have taken place including the examination of CCTV in the area. The suspect, who is not known to the victim, is described as 5ft 7, around 40 years old, with medium length brown hair. He was thought to be wearing a grey long sleeve jacket with a dark top and trousers.
