A CCTV image of a man has been released by officers investigating a reported attempted robbery in Gillingham.
Kent Police was called to reports of the incident, which occurred outside the town’s train station at around 11.30pm on Sunday 7 June 2026.
The victim alleged he had been followed off the train and out of the station by another man, who asked to look at his phone.
Ignoring the request, the victim was then punched and fell to the ground causing minor injuries. No items were taken by the assailant who subsequently left the scene.
Investigators are now in a position to release the image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries. Anyone who saw the incident or has any relevant information is urged to contact Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting reference 46/91940/26.
