Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought following a serious collision in Chatham.
Kent Police was called following the collision involving a small black car and a black Vauxhall Corsa, and a pedestrian in Princes Avenue at around 3.50pm on Friday 5 January 2024.
The small black car, which had pulled out of Swift Crescent, did not stop and left the scene before the arrival of emergency services.
The pedestrian, a woman who had been walking her dog, was treated for serious injuries by South East Coast Ambulance Service. She was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable condition. The driver of the Corsa suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Investigating officer PC Eilish McLaughlin, said:
‘We are urging anybody who saw the collision or who has dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist the investigation, to contact us.
‘Anyone with information about the small black car that did not stop at the scene should also call our appeal line.’
