Witnesses are sought after a woman reported being raped while inside a supermarket toilet cubicle in Sheerness.
The incident was reported to have happened on Tuesday 1 October 2024 between 1.37pm and 2.19pm inside the ladies’ public toilets in Tesco, Bridge Road.
During the incident the victim reported that she was followed into the toilet by a man who then sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as eastern European, around 5ft 3in, aged around 30 years old and wearing a blue tracksuit.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Samantha Stuart said:
‘From our initial enquiries and reviewing CCTV we know there were a number of people who entered the toilet area during this time, including one lady who assisted the victim. ‘I’m really keen to talk to anyone who was in the supermarket at the time and who used the toilets between 1.37pm and 2.30pm.’
