Officers are appealing for witnesses after it was reported that a man had been assaulted and a woman threatened during an incident near Ashford town centre.
Police were called to a petrol station on Beaver Road shortly before 4.30am on Thursday 11 July 2024, following a report of a disturbance nearby involving three men and a woman.
Officers attended and spoke to those present. It was alleged that threats had been made to a woman by a man who was known to her and who had left the scene.
A second man reported that he had been assaulted by the same man and had sustained bruises. There were no reported injuries to the woman.
A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident the following day. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
The investigation is ongoing and police are urging anyone with relevant information, including dashcam footage, to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/114917/24.
Anyone who was in the area between 4am and 5am on Thursday 11 July and who could assist officers’ enquiries is urged to come forward.
