Investigators are appealing for information after a woman reported she was grabbed by a male and threatened with violence on Sandgate Road, Folkestone, at 10.40pm on Thursday 1 May.
The suspect is described as white, in his 60s, around 5ft 10 with a medium build. He was described as wearing a pink polo shirt with white trousers.
Officers have been completing enquiries into the incident including the examination of CCTV footage of Sandgate Road.
They are now appealing for any witnesses who have not spoken to the police and anyone who recognises the description of the suspect to contact them.
