Kent Police was called to a suspected medical incident in Manston Road shortly after 1pm on Friday 31 July 2026.
Concern was raised for a person who appeared unresponsive on a footpath, near to the junction with Princess Margaret Avenue.
Officers attended along with paramedics and a woman in her 40s was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. Her next of kin has been informed.
Initial enquiries were completed, including speaking with witnesses, consulting with medical experts and reviewing CCTV opportunities.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained although officers do not believe there was any third party involvement. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances, including how the woman came to be in the area, are ongoing.
