Officers are investigating a suspected arson to a van in Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells.
The incident happened in Hastings Road between 1.30am and 1.50am on Sunday 10 December 2023.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the blaze which had spread from the van to an adjacent fence.
A 31-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been bailed pending further investigation.
PC Laura Craner, of the West Kent Victim Based Crime Team, said:
‘We have been completing enquiries into this incident and are treating the fire as suspicious. Officers are appealing for witnesses who saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area before 1.30am or running from the scene shortly after the fire started, to contact the appeal line.
‘Motorists with dashcam and local residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation.’
Anyone with information is urged to contact Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting 46/217348/23.
