Investigators are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a motorist reported being assaulted in Borough Green.
The incident happened at around 1pm on Friday 5 January 2024 as the victim, a man in his 40s, was driving along Western Road.
An altercation happened involving another driver who is then alleged to have struck the victim with an implement after both parties got out of their vehicles. The victim suffered cuts to his head and an arm injury, and later attended a local hospital for medical attention.
A 51-year-old man from West Kingsdown was arrested on the same day on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed to return to the police station on 29 March, pending further investigation.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances with officers checking available CCTV in the area. They are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact the appeal line.
