Witnesses sought to Hythe assault following arrest

Information is sought following a serious assault in Hythe.

An arrest has been made in connection with the incident, reported to have happened at around 7.20pm on Friday 28 March 2025 in Malthouse Hill near the High Street.

It was reported the victim, a man in his forties, was punched after having a verbal altercation with a man walking two dogs.

He sustained a head injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Arrest made

A 27-year old man from Hythe was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail pending further enquiries.
