Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after the driver of a stolen car left the scene of a collision on the M20 near Wrotham.
The incident happened on the London-bound carriageway just prior to Junction 3, at 5.20am on Sunday 31 March 2024.
It is reported the stolen vehicle, a black Mercedes C250 with a partial registration number of PY61, collided with the rear of a trailer being pulled by a grey Toyota Hilux.
This caused a tractor on the trailer to fall into the carriageway and, when emergency services arrived at the scene, the Mercedes driver had left on foot towards London.
Investigators are seeking to identify this man and are appealing for witnesses or motorists with relevant dashcam footage, before or after the collision, to contact the appeal line.
They would particularly like to speak to the driver of a blue or dark coloured mid-sized car, with a roof box, who stopped at the scene and may have spoken to the Mercedes driver.
Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 31-0161.
You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or complete the online form on their website.
