Witnesses sought to robbery near beach in Dover

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Dover.

Kent Police is investigating a report of a robbery in the underpass between Shakespeare beach and Aycliffe.

It was reported that at around 7.30pm on Wednesday 16 August 2023, a man was approached from behind by three people and was pushed and kicked, causing him to fall to the ground. Verbal demands were made for his belongings and it was reported that weapons were seen during the incident. Fishing equipment and a phone were stolen during the incident.
