Witnesses are sought following a serious assault in Rochester.
Officers were called to the High Street at around 11.22pm on Friday 6 February 2026 following a report that a man had been assaulted.
Prior to the incident, the victim, who was standing with friends, had been approached by three people who appeared to be filming interviews with revellers.
As the group was talking to the interviewer, a man who was part of the trio, suddenly punched the victim. He fell to the floor and sustained a serious head injury.
The suspect then took hold of the woman with the camera and quickly led her away, with the man with the microphone also following.
The victim had to be taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries to his face and head.
The suspect is described as medium build and around 6ft. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood worn up and light grey jogging bottoms which had white writing down one leg. He was also wearing black trainers with white socks.
Investigators are keen to talk to the man with the microphone and the woman who was filming.
The man is described as black and he was wearing a puffer jacket, jogging bottoms, trainers and a cap. All the clothing was black in colour. The microphone was black with white casing.
The woman who was filming was holding a camera phone with a top mounted light.
She is described as white with long brown hair which was tied up. She was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and white trainers.
