Officers are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision involving a double decker bus near Birchington.
Emergency services were called just before 12.20pm on Friday 9 August 2024 to a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Lexus and a double decker bus on the A28 Island Road, between Sarre and Upstreet.
Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, where eight people were reported to have sustained injuries.
While seven were believed not to be serious, one man in his 60s was airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition. His next of kin are aware.

Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage. Footage can be uploaded through our online portal.
