At around 7.05pm on Wednesday 27 September 2023, a woman was pushing her child in a pram along Station Road, when a black BMW with yellow headlights stopped next to her.
A female passenger started asking for directions and, at the same time, the man who was driving got out and moved towards the victim.
The woman felt threatened and alerted the police after the man got back into the car and drove from the scene.
Detective Sergeant David Turner, of the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team, said:
‘We have been investigating this incident and are seeking to identify and speak to the occupants of this BMW. ‘The victim felt threatened during the encounter and we are appealing to any witnesses to contact us. In particular, we would like to speak to a woman wearing a white top and black cycling shorts, who stopped and asked after the victim’s welfare.’
