Detectives investigating the death of a man in Romney Marsh have charged a suspect.
Kent Police was called at 9.30am on Thursday 14 May 2026 to a report of concern for a person in Holly Road, St Mary’s Bay.
Officers attended along with paramedics and a man in his 90s was confirmed deceased. His next of kin has been informed.
A suspect was arrested and taken into custody. It is understood that both men were known to each other.
The following day, Mark Lambert, 66, was charged with murder.
Mr Lambert, of Cheriton Road, Folkestone, was remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 May.
