A suspected thief has been arrested after a diamond necklace worth £22,000 was reportedly stolen from a jewellery shop in Sevenoaks.
It is alleged a man entered Juleo Jewellery, in the Bligh’s Meadow Shopping Centre, at around 12.30pm to 1pm on Wednesday 15 May 2024 and asked to look at the necklace.
The suspect is said to have run from the store once the jewellery was in their hands.
A man in his 20s, from Faversham, was arrested on Monday 20 May on suspicion of theft, fraud, and handling stolen goods. He has since been bailed until 17 June, pending further enquiries.
A subsequent search led to the seizure of documents believed to be fraudulent, including driving licences and bank cards.
