A suspect has been arrested as part of a rape investigation in Ashford.
Kent Police is investigating a report that a woman was sexually assaulted on a river pathway near Beaver Road between 8.25pm and 9pm on Friday 24 January 2025.
Officers have since been working in the area, reviewing CCTV and speaking to potential witnesses.
As part of ongoing enquiries, a 17 year old boy from the Romney Marsh area was arrested on suspicion of rape on the evening of Monday 27 January.
He remains in custody while the investigation continues.
