Weapons including a slingshot have been seized by officers on patrol in Dover.
During the evening of Thursday 31 October 2024, local officers were on patrol in the town when they found a parked car in Buckland Avenue, which had been driven in a suspicious manner a short time earlier.
Enquiries in the area led to police stopping and speaking to a man in Cherry Tree Avenue. A substance suspected to be cocaine was seized and a search of the vehicle resulted in officers seizing a knife, slingshot and razor blades.
A 41-year-old man from Deal was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs, possessing a knife and an offensive weapon, and also arrested in connection with driving offences.
He was released on bail pending further enquiries.
