The fight against drug dealing has continued in Medway with several arrests and class A drugs seized in a few days.
Over the course of 3 days, proactive enforcement in the area resulted in three men appearing before magistrates.
On Wednesday 3 June 2026, a car came to the attention of a police patrol in Maidstone Road, Rochester and the officers required the driver to stop.
It came to a halt following a collision involving two other vehicles and a man was arrested. Later that same day a second man was arrested after a suspicious car was stopped in Capstone Road, Chatham.
On Friday 5 June, two men were separately detained in Canadian Avenue, Gillingham and on the A2 in Newington.
Following the arrests, officers seized quantities of cocaine, cash and some mobile phones.
George Morris, 27, from Mackintosh Close, Rochester was later charged with dangerous driving, possession with intent to supply class A drugs and assault of an emergency worker.
Jon McNeil, 51, from Tangmere Close, Gillingham was charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, possession of criminal property and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Both men have been remanded into custody until their next court appearances at Maidstone Crown Court on 3 July 2026.
Christopher Rowlinson, 47, from Somerset Close, Chatham was charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of criminal property. He was remanded into custody until his next court appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on 6 July 2026.
A 53 year old man from Gillingham was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
