A suspect is to appear in court charged in relation to sexual offences against three women in an Ashford gym.
Shortly before 1am on Tuesday 22 October, a police officer was on duty in the Eureka Park area of the town when he was approached by a member of the public who reported that a woman had been sexually assaulted by another gym-goer, earlier in the evening in PureGym in Warren Retail Park.
Following enquiries, the officer arrested a man in the area.
Jordan Mutemeri, 23, of Guernsey Way, Ashford, was charged on Wednesday 23 October with sexual assault on a woman, as well as outraging public decency in relation to a separate incident at the gym on the same date against two other women; possession of class B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, and a public order offence.
He has been remanded and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on the same day.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incidents and anyone with information which could assist, should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/178991/24.
