Two men have appeared in court after a serious assault in Rochester earlier this year.
The incident, in which a man in his 40s suffered a cut to his neck, took place in Wickham Street at around 4.30pm on Thursday 27 April 2023.
The victim was treated in hospital and has since been discharged.
Following an investigation, two men were arrested by detectives on 7 June.
The next day, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a charge of attempted murder against Carl Williamson, of St Michaels Close, Chatham and Barry Clark, of Chelmar Road, Chatham.
Williamson, aged 36, was also charged with possession of a bladed weapon and 39-year-old Clark with criminal damage.
Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 9 June and have been remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
