A motorbike has been seized as part of work by police to tackle nuisance vehicles in Canterbury.
Following reports of off-road bikes in the Littlebourne Road area, PCs and PCSOs from the city's Neighbourhood Task Force carried out patrols on Wednesday 5 July 2023.
Officers stopped a teenage boy on an uninsured dirt bike, which was seized.
The boy's mother was also spoken to and issued with a Community Protection Warning (CPW).
The order states that she could face a fine or prosecution if she again allows the boy to ride vehicles in an anti-social manner.
Sergeant Lee Thompson, of Canterbury Neighbourhood Task Force, said: 'We understand the impact nuisance bikes and other anti-social behaviour can have on residents' lives.
'For that reason we will continue to carry out patrols of this kind in this and other areas, seizing vehicles and taking action against riders.'
The patrols took place in Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, during which activities are ongoing around the country to raise awareness of the issue and the responses open to authorities.
Tackling anti-social behaviour is also an important part of Kent Police's Safer Summer initiative, which includes a focus on driving and riding vehicles in an anti-social way, drugs and street drinking.
