Officers joined forces with coaches from Sport on Your Doorstep in Tunbridge Wells as part of community engagement week.
A boxing ring was set up in the town centre from Monday 3 – Friday 7 June 2024 and members of the public were encouraged to pick up the pads and get involved.
The event was held as part of ongoing work to reduce anti-social behaviour.
Working closely with partners from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Kenward Trust, Catch 22, Doorstep, and the Violence Reduction Unit officers were able to meet people and answer any questions or address any concerns they may have.
A family hub was also set up to share online safety tips, information for parents and emergency service themed activities for younger children.
Young people were able to discuss issues that affect them in the local area and were given information which highlighted the consequences of becoming involved in crime and anti-social behaviour.
Inspector Christian Mayers said: ‘We want our local young people to feel confident in knowing we are there to protect them and to offer them advice and assistance if they need it.
‘Everyone involved had a great time and it was an opportunity for us to work with our partners in different areas and engage with the local community.’
