Charges brought after serious assaults in Gillingham

A suspect has been charged following two assaults in Gillingham which left victims with serious injuries.
The incidents took place in an alleyway between Ingram Road and Woodlands Road shortly before 11pm on Monday 20 July 2026.
Both victims, a man and a teenage boy, attended a local hospital for treatment to injuries consistent with stab wounds. Both of them have since been discharged.
Officers attended and an investigation was launched. In the course of enquiries, a further alleged assault was identified on Thursday 2 July at a nearby location.
A man was arrested in connection with all three incidents on Wednesday 22 July.
Court
Luke Thrower, 33, of Halcot Avenue, Bexleyheath, was subsequently charged with three counts of wounding with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in public and possessing a bladed article in public.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 July, where he was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 21 August.
