Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Gillingham have charged two men.
The incident on the A289 Gads Hill involved a grey Mercedes estate and a pedestrian, at around 12.10pm on Monday 29 December 2025.
It is reported the vehicle continued and was later found in Eastcourt Lane, where the two occupants had left on foot.
The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, had been carried by the car and was located on the ground at Grange Road. He was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service but was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On Thursday 1 January 2026, Albert Matraxhiu, 28, of Orange Hill Road, Edgware, was charged with death by dangerous driving.
Erald Paci, 29, of Five Way Court, Chatham, was charged with perverting the course of justice.
Both men are Albanian nationals and have been remanded to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday 2 January 2026.
