Chief Constable Tim Smith has formally welcomed re-elected Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Scott back to force headquarters this morning.
Mr Scott was re-elected for a third term as PCC for Kent on 5 May 2024.
Speaking outside Kent Police HQ in Maidstone on Monday 13 May, Chief Constable Smith said: ‘I have a very productive working relationship with Mr Scott, and that will continue into his new term, as we both work hard to ensure Kent is one of the safest places to live in the country.
‘I was pleased to be able to welcome him back to force headquarters today, with my Chief Officer Team.’
Mr Scott added: 'I'm delighted to have been re-elected as Kent's PCC and I will re-pay the trust awarded to me by working hard over the next four years.
'My priorities are absolutely clear, I want to help improve neighbourhood policing, help cut crime, support victims and build trust in Kent Police.'
