A closure order for a flat in Gravesend which was at the centre of antisocial behaviour and drug dealing has been extended.
Kent Police obtained the order for the flat on Gravesend High Street on 18 July for three months following repeated incidents.
This meant anyone found going in and out of the property could be arrested and face further action.
An application for an extension to the closure order was made on Tuesday 14 October. The three-month order was granted which means the property will remain closed.
Police Constable Jo Hammond said:
‘Closure orders like these are a really important tool in tackling antisocial behaviour. ‘Since the original closure order there have been no reports to police or the housing provider to report any concerns or complaints. The extension provides that reassurance to residents that we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure their lives are not blighted by one household.’
