Closure order granted on Swanscombe property

Kent Police has obtained a closure order for a property in Swanscombe which was at the centre of antisocial behaviour and drug dealing.

Officers have been repeatedly called to the property in Keary Road in recent months, following reports of violence, drug dealing and antisocial behaviour.

In response, officers went to Maidstone Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 27 May 2026 and applied for a closure order to prevent anyone entering the property.

A 3 month order was granted, meaning anyone found going in and out of the property could be arrested and face further action.

Boarded and locked up

Officers visited the house the next day and it was boarded and locked up to prevent anyone breaching the court order.

Police Sergeant Rob Wilkinson said: 'We are committed to doing everything we can to tackle antisocial behaviour and will not hesitate to act when needed.
‘Kent Police will continue to tackle antisocial behaviour, especially when the persistent crime from one household affects the whole community.'
