Two men have appeared at court after proactive Gravesend officers seized a quantity of class A drugs and a stolen car.
At around 10pm on Monday 4 September 2023, a Ford Kuga was being driven in the town centre in a manner that alerted a police patrol.
The constables then followed the vehicle on the A2 towards London and requested the driver stop in Station Road, Belvedere.
The car came to a halt and the two occupants left on foot before being detained. The Ford Kuga was later identified as having been stolen in London on 19 August.
The officers also seized cocaine deals, four mobile phones and around £10,000 in cash.
Reis Bhandal, of Shirley Close, Dartford and Lewis Falegan, of Ashburnham Road, Belvedere, Greater London were later charged with possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and handling stolen property. The latter was also charged with driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
The suspects, both aged 23, appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 6 September. They were remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on 4 October.
