Cocaine dealer pleaded guilty within 48 hours of stop in Tonbridge

A cocaine dealer from London has pleaded guilty to charges less than 48 hours after a proactive stop and search in Tonbridge.

At around 3.45pm on Saturday 5 September 2026, patrols in Lyons Crescent spotted a suspicious vehicle and indicated for it to stop.

Jorge Payana Bonilla was detained and a vehicle search led to the seizure of a number of vials of cocaine from a hide in the central console, as well as two mobile phones and a quantity of cash from inside the pockets of a jacket on the back seat.

Further roadside checks determined Payana Bonilla was also driving without a licence and without insurance.

The Spanish national, of Lansdowne Road in Tottenham, London, was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The 39 year old was remanded to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday 7 September, where he pleaded guilty to all offences.

He has since been released on bail pending a sentencing hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
