Cooking oil has been seized and three suspected thieves arrested following proactive work by officers in Thanet.
Patrols became aware of suspicious activity involving a white Peugeot van in the Bromstone Road area of Broadstairs at around 7pm on Friday 5 June 2026.
The vehicle was followed to Canterbury Road, Westgate-on-Sea. Officers required the van to stop. The occupants were detained.
Searches were completed and several containers of cooking oil, suspected to have been stolen, were seized.
Three Bulgarian men, aged 26, 24 and 18, all from the Tottenham area of London, were arrested in connection with the incident and were taken into custody.
They have been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
