Investigators have continued the fight against retail crime by charging a man suspected of multiple thefts across Kent.
Between Thursday 10 October and Wednesday 11 December 2024, several shoplifting offences were reported by staff at shops in Gravesend, Whitstable, Dover, Ashford and Faversham.
Items allegedly stolen included toiletries, confectionary and alcohol with a value exceeding £2,500.
An investigation to identify those responsible led to the arrest of a suspect in Otford on Wednesday 11 December.
Gabriel Rostas, of Fairway Gardens, Ilford, London, was later charged with 10 counts of theft.
The 19-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 13 December. He was conditionally bailed to a hearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Friday 24 January 2025.
