A Dartford man has appeared in court following a report of inappropriate behaviour towards a woman at a bar.
Kent Police received a report that a man had made a woman feel uncomfortable while in a bar in Spital Street on Saturday 27 June 2026. She reported that the man continuously touched her arm and tried to engage in conversation despite declining. He also took a picture of her and a friend.
Following enquiries, which included reviewing CCTV footage, officers made an arrest on 4 July 2026.
David Stroud, 44, from Halcrow Avenue, Dartford was charged with sex based harassment.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 July where he was released on conditional bail until his next court appearance at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 July 2026.
