A tactical stop has led to the arrest of a man for drug offences.
At about 1.20pm on Tuesday 7 May 2022, officers from the Swale Local Policing Team were responding to reports that a vehicle was being driven erratically along Mill Way, Sittingbourne.
Further enquiries led the officers to pursue the vehicle in Chatham where they were able to bring the vehicle to a tactical stop in the High Street 40 minutes later.
Upon searching the vehicle they found a quantity of drugs and the driver failed a roadside drug test.
An 18-year-old man from Teynham, near Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
