Drugs and weapons seized and multiple suspects charged following north Kent warrants

Continued activity to stamp out the supply of illegal drugs in north Kent has resulted in 30 charges being brought against suspected dealers in two days.

Thirteen drugs-related arrests were made between Tuesday 25 February and Wednesday 26 February 2025, in an operation that saw collaboration between Kent Police and British Transport Police.

Seized

Drugs - including those believed to be heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and MDMA - were seized by officers across Swale, Medway and Gravesham.

Items seized by police during the pre-planned warrants also included imitation firearms and cannabis thought to be worth in the region of £22,000.

Gravesham

On 26 February, 60 deal-sized bags of cocaine and four rocks of crack cocaine were seized from an address in Gravesham. Officers arrested a man at the scene.

Six drugs-related charges were later brought against Alan Niango, of High Street, Gravesend. Mr Niango, 30, appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody to Woolwich Crown Court on 27 March.

The same day, police secured 17 charges in an unrelated case after officers executed warrants at five properties. Officers seized cocaine; two imitation weapons; a large quantity of cannabis; cash; mobile phones and various drugs-related paraphernalia.

Ajet Cena, 36; Hassan Cerjpa, 25; Reece Rahmdeen, 27; Sofaine Moulay, 32 and Deborah Baker, 46, were all charged with offences relating to the supply of drugs. Mr Cerjpa, of Regal Walk in Bexleyheath, London was additionally charged with possession of criminal property.

Mr Cena, of Burdett Close, Sidcup in London; Mr Rahmdeen, of Windmill Close, Gravesend; Ms Baker, of Copenhagen Road, Gillingham; Mr Moulay, of Park Place, Gravesend and Mr Cerjpa were all due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 28 February.

Medway

Officers made arrests near to Gillingham town centre on 26 February. Around 70 wraps were seized and a 17 year old boy from Plumstead was charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. Kelly Aghudo, 18, of Latham Road, Bexleyheath, was charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Both suspects were due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 28 February.

Swale

An investigation into the supply of class A drugs on the Isle of Sheppey led to an arrest on 25 February, and to the recovery of cocaine and cannabis.

Lewis Young, 41, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply a class A and class B drug.

Mr Young, of Falcon Gardens, Sheerness, was remanded in custody at court and is next due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on 24 March.
