Drugs have been seized by town beat officers who arrested a man in Ramsgate.
During the evening of Thursday 11 July 2024, officers from the Thanet Community Safety Unit were out on foot patrol in Archway Road when they saw a man riding an e-scooter.
As they approached the man to speak to him, he dropped the e-scooter and ran away. Officers ran after him, stopping him a short time later. A search was carried out, and officers found a number of wraps of suspected crack cocaine. They also seized a mobile phone and cash.
A 48-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. He currently remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
