A fifth man has been arrested as part of a murder investigation in Canterbury.
Detectives are continuing to investigate after a 23-year-old man died following an assault in the city’s High Street on Thursday 10 October 2024.
Four arrests were made in the hours after the incident, with two men later being charged with murder and two others being bailed.
A fifth man has since been arrested, on Wednesday 16 October, on suspicion of assisting offenders.
The latest man arrested, a 23-year-old from the Herne Bay area, has also been bailed pending further enquiries.

• Kemal Ibrahim, 24, of Long Acre Close, Canterbury, and Mohammed Hgar, 31, of no fixed address, were previously charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place in relation to the incident. Mr Ibrahim is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. They have since been remanded in custody and are next due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 18 October.
