Detectives investigating a reported assault in Ashford have arrested a third man in connection with the incident.
Police were called following a report that a man was assaulted from behind after leaving a public house in Mead Road, Willesborough at around 10.30pm on Saturday 28 September 2024.
The victim, aged in his thirties, was taken to a local hospital for treatment after sustaining broken bones and injuries to his face. He has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home.
On Tuesday 15 October, a 26 year old man from Arlesey in Bedfordshire was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was later bailed pending further enquiries.
A 20 year old man from Canterbury and a 26 year old man from Ashford, who were previously arrested, remain on bail while enquiries continue.
