A suspect has been charged following allegations of a violent assault with a glass in Maidstone.
Kent Police was called at 1.30am on Sunday 5 November 2023, to the Social Chill Bar in Week Street.
It is alleged a man was punched by a person who had been holding a glass or a bottle. After the victim fell to the floor he was then repeatedly kicked.
Officers attended and arrested the suspect at a location near Broadway. The victim was taken to hospital with head injuries. He has since been discharged.
Chay Hart, 34, of no fixed address, was later charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 November.
He has since been remanded in custody to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 4 December.
