A suspect has been arrested by investigators who are appealing for information following two reported burglaries at an antique shop near Sittingbourne.
The first incident happened at the premises in London Road, Teynham, between 6.30pm on Tuesday 5 November and 9.30am on the following day.
The second break-in occurred at around 10pm on Saturday 16 November. Jewellery including several rings (pictured) were stolen along with a quantity of medals.
Investigating officer, PC Emily Savage, said:
‘We have been making enquiries in the area and are appealing to motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV, who have not yet spoken to the police, to check for relevant footage.
‘Our investigators are also asking anyone who has been offered the items shown in the photographs or any other jewellery and medals at a low price, to contact our appeal line.’
Officers arrested a 35-year-old local man in connection with the burglaries on Sunday 24 November. He was later bailed while enquiries are completed.
Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01795 419119, quoting reference 46/194900/24.
