Two knives and large quantities of drugs have been seized during a three-day crackdown in Gravesend.
Proactive patrols in Terrace Street stopped a man who was behaving suspiciously on Monday 18 March 2024.
A subsequent search led to the seizure of a lock knife and a quantity of class A and class B drugs. A 40-year-old man was arrested and later released on bail until June, pending further enquiries.
On Wednesday 20 March, officers stopped another man behaving suspiciously, in Milton Place. A search revealed a lock knife and a large number of deal bags containing class A drugs.
Christian Agwu, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of a bladed weapon.
The 21-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 21 March, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He has since been remanded in custody to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on 16 April.
