Detectives investigating the supply of a significant quantity of cocaine and cannabis have arrested and charged a man.
Jay White, 43, of Hertford Road in Islington, London, was detained by officers at his home address on the morning of Thursday 12 January 2023.
He was later charged with being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs and with money laundering, and was due to appear before Medway magistrates on Friday 13 January.
Mr White’s arrest forms part an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate into the sale of 6kg of cannabis and 5kg of cocaine between April and June 2020.
The alleged offences came to light following the cracking of the illegal EncroChat mobile phone platform by international law enforcement agencies the same year.
