A London teenager has been charged in connection with stabbing a man during an unprovoked assault in Edenbridge.
The victim was allegedly attacked on 27 October 2023, in Springfield Road, after approaching a group of young people who had climbed onto a neighbour’s vehicle.
It is reported when he asked them to get off the car one of the group removed a sharp object from his pocket, described as a bike spoke, and stabbed the item into the victim’s groin area.
The man, aged in his 30s, suffered multiple puncture wounds and required hospital treatment.
A suspect was arrested later that same day. He was then bailed, while an officer from the Tonbridge Victim Based Crime Team continued to gather evidence to build a successful prosecution.
On Monday 24 June 2024, the 15-year-old, from Newham, East London was charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
He is bailed, with conditions, to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on 6 August.
