A suspect from Maidstone has been charged with assaulting three police officers during an incident which included the strangulation of a female constable.
At around 11.25pm on Friday 10 November 2023, patrols were called to a disturbance outside a property in Forge Lane, East Farleigh.
It is reported that two attending officers were assaulted by a man, who tried to punch one constable and placed her into a chokehold, before kicking another.
The suspect is then reported to have attempted to headbutt a third officer, after backup arrived at the scene.
Zeus O’Sullivan, of Forge Lane, East Farleigh was taken into custody and later charged with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and of an offence of intentional strangulation.
He is also charged with criminal damage, in relation to damage caused to an officer’s glasses.
Aged 38, the suspect is remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 November.
