Maidstone murder investigation launched

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Maidstone.

Kent Police was called at 10.21pm on Monday 7 September 2026, following reports of an assault at a property in Knightrider Street.

Officers attended the scene alongside other emergency services and a man in his 40s was found inside the property with injuries consistent with a stab wound. He died whilst being treated by paramedics at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

A 26 year old man and a 22 year old woman were both arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and they remain in custody while enquiries continue.
