A man has appeared in court charged with several burglaries in Rochester.
Officers have been investigating reports that a man had been entering homes in New Road, Cliffe and stealing alcohol.
On 9 May 2026, Robertas Petronis, 45, from New Road, Cliffe was arrested and charged with 3 burglaries which occurred on 25 April, 26 April and 9 May 2026.
He was bailed by the court to attend a hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 23 July 2026.
Kent Police then received reports of 2 burglaries that had occurred at homes in New Road, on 28 June, where alcohol was also stolen.
Mr Petronis, a Lithuanian national, was arrested the next day and later charged with 2 further burglaries.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 1 July 2026 where he was bailed until his next court appearance at a later date.
