Officers swiftly secured charges against a man following a street fight in Maidstone town centre.
Just after 3pm on Wednesday 14 August 2024, Kent Police was called to a report of a disturbance in Mill Street. It is alleged the victim was assaulted and sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound.
Patrols attended and arrested a local man in connection with the incident.
Sonny Manville, of Bedell Road, Thurnham, has since been charged with affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and possessing a knife in a public place.
The 23-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 16 August and has been remanded in custody. He is expected to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 20 September.
