Man charged with attempted murder after report of serious assault in Swanley

One man has been charged with attempted murder following reports of a serious assault in Swanley.

Kent Police was called to Acacia Walk at around 8.50pm on Thursday 8 October 2026 where a man in his 20s sustained injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

Officers attended the scene alongside paramedics, where he was taken to a London hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Two men were arrested later the same evening, and two further men were arrested on Friday 9 October, in connection to the incident.

Charged

Connor Heffernan has since been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The 28 year old, of no fixed address, has been remanded to custody pending a court hearing at Medway Magistrates' Court on Monday 12 October.

Two other men have since been bailed and one remains in custody, while an investigation remains ongoing.
