Officers investigating a series of offences across Kent have charged a man.
On Tuesday 1 September, it was reported that a community centre in Northwood Road, Tonbridge, had been broken into. It is alleged a man forced a side door and gained access to the bar area, where he stole £140 in cash, two charity collection pots and alcohol.
A second incident was reported on Sunday 4 October 2026, when a man allegedly entered a Subway restaurant in Rochester High Street. It is alleged he threatened staff with a knife before stealing £150 in cash from the till.
On Tuesday 6 October 2026, it was reported that a supermarket in Gravel Walk, Canterbury, was targeted by a man who allegedly attempted to walk out of the store with two sandwiches without paying.
When approached by security staff, it is alleged he fled. Security guards caught up with him, and it is reported he reached for a knife before officers arrived.
The man was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
On Thursday 8 October, Dale Pearson, 34, of Annison Street, Tonbridge, was charged with burglary, theft from a shop and robbery.
He appeared before Margate Magistrates' Court on the same day and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on 6 November 2026.
